BUG Bugs We Found — Learning Lab Try old flaws

Turn on one old bug at a time to see why the fixed blackjack rule matters. Applied on New Tournament.

Old bug: allow Double while a must-hit floor still applies

Example: with "All players must hit until 17", a 17 should still hit and should not double.

Old bug: allow Stand or Surrender before the must-hit floor clears

This demonstrates why house-rule locks must cover every action, not just Hit.

Old bug: allow splitting special or crazy cards

Special cards are hard values, so matching B/B, S/S, or 0/0 should not behave like normal pairs.

Old bug: count any two-card 21 as blackjack

A natural blackjack needs an Ace. N+9 is 21, but it is not blackjack.

Settings apply when you press New Tournament. Defaults match the classic 7-player, 30-hand format.

UBT-style

Minimum bet: $1,000. Maximum bet: $250,000.
Lowest chip stack is eliminated after hands 8, 16, and 25, unless a player already busts below the minimum on that same cut hand.
You and each AI get one Secret Bet; Secret Action can only be used on a hand where that player made a Secret Bet.
Secret Action hides Stand, Surrender, or Double for Less behind a face-down S card until settlement.
The Book button opens the free blackjack book, audio lessons, and strategy library.
Sendy Style adds Niche, Sendy, Proctor, zero cards, and Golden Egg.
God Mode controls decks, zero cards, Sendy/Niche/Proctor card frequency, Golden Egg payout/frequency, and every learning lab option.
Too Crazy adds adjustable B/C/D/E/F fraction cards. Defaults: B +1.5, C +0.5, D -0.05, E -1, F -5.
Golden Egg cards trigger a celebration and pay the configurable bonus, default $100,000.
Bugs We Found is a learning lab for old mistakes like double-down-on-17, not the fair rule set.
Double for less lets you add any amount up to your original bet; AI normally doubles full unless tournament position calls for less.
Splits are allowed up to four hands. Split aces get one card each, then auto-stand.
Hands 26-30: trailing AIs bet more aggressively for the lead.
AI betting uses tournament correlation: covering the high, taking the low, or covering both when possible.
Secret Insurance is only hidden when paired with a Secret Bet; it is revealed after the hand resolves.
AI decisions are paced one at a time; doubled cards are dealt face down to opponents until resolution.
Elimination-hand AI now covers lower-stack all-ins when possible; bottom stacks shove when they must win anyway.
On hand 30, AI plays for first place only. Second place does not matter.
Players now react to busts, blackjacks, big bets, doubles, secret moves, dealer busts, and eliminations.
Players who bust because they hit now complain about their own bad hit, with lines like “Rats!” or “I knew I should not have hit that hand.”
On cut hands, an AI with no survival path on a same-result win can double even a stiff hand to create a necessary win/win swing.
On cut hands, an AI with a dead standing total can hit a normally-stand hand if only improving the total creates a survival path.
The Tour Announcer calls the action, big swings, pressure doubles, desperation hits, cut hands, and eliminations.
Before a cut, low stacks acting before close rivals may use a Secret Bet so later players cannot simply copy the visible wager.
Cut-hand AI now checks for lock-out bets: if a small wager survives a lower stack's all-in win, it avoids unnecessary high-risk bets.
The Blackjack Coach panel explains table strategy spots as the hand develops.
Keyboard shortcuts: H hit, S stand, D double, P split, R surrender, B focus bet, N/Enter next hand.
